That's awesome Dave. I have been hoping for WYLF, Santa Claus, and Lullaby. Especially since the obnoxious fucks talked over the last attempt at Lullaby. The crowds have been great so far. Wed night was quieter then Thurs but most people were still respectful most of the time. If they disrupt him during Lullaby tonight I'm gonna be crackin fuckin skulls. |

Just a little side note about people talking during a solo show - RFR and I went to see Darden Smith about a month ago in this little art gallery/bar and I would say at the most there were 30 or 40 people there and this couple decided it was a good place to have a very prolonged conversation (and they were not whispering). After about 3 songs and 1/2 way into another Darden stopped singing and looked directly at the couple and said to them "Gee I really hope I am not interrupting your conversation" and than he proceeded to start the song over and go on with the show. I think they were pretty embarrassed (as they should be) and for the most part stayed quiet for the rest of the evening. Sorry to hijack your thread here, I just thought about this reading about people being rude. |

| Thanks for the list Dave! It great to meet you & Tox last night. Hope to meet a few more folks tonight.
Musiclovinmom, I wish more artists would do that. There were people yakking next to me last night during The Sun Is Shining and I wanted to go over and ask how on earth you could talk through such a moment. The guy was a big ugly dude so I felt it wise to simply zone them out and enjoy. The song was incredible despite their ignorance...I think I even got a little misty!

I wish I had the words to describe the show but my head is still a little foggy. For now I'll echo the sentiment of EPIC. |

I'll keep it going, EPIC.
Best. Birthday. Ever. So much fun hangin with the Mofro crew, nice to meet ya zcreative! Wish I coulda spent more time with more of you that were there, but like always it goes by in a blur... (and the whiskey doesn't help!)
Special thanks to TW, giggles, FIREFLY, and Liz for being so hospitable with my wife, she fit right in like she's been coming to shows with me all along! We had such an awesome time, wow. And what a freekin show! EPIC! I couldn't have dreamed a better setlist, classic JJ stories, and to get a birthday shout out, on top of a Santa Claus, wow, just wow. Speechless. What I would've given to record it, but this one will just have to be left to the memory. I won't soon forget it, that's for sure.
Oh and HUGE thanks to Stan for hooking me with a show poster and Giggles for my first setlist! Usually I'm dealing with taping and can't be up front to fight for those. Yall put the finishing touches on an amazing birthday an I can't thank you enough.
