Giggles I am sad that you can't make it!  I was looking forward to having you here tonight and along for our travels this weekend, another time.

MF1 - rfr has never been on a leash - he likes to wander and check things out and take photos - that's cool - it's all good : ).  We'll have 2 cameras going this time, our 14 yr. old is bringing his along too.

Amazing with all the rain here this weekend, never rained when music was going on. Great restaurant at top of inlcine with great views and food.  You could here the music up there during a sound check. Incline ride was free during festival.

Encores:
Junior
On Fire

The last 2 songs for this set were -

Junior  (everyone in the crowd was really getting into it)
On Fire (J J once again told the story to go along with it, and even though I have heard it many times now I still laugh everytime.  It's really fun to watch people in the crowd that you can just tell it is their first time hearing it!)

Both shows at Flood City were really good, but I have to say that Saturdays was my favorite of the 2.  First of all they played Wrong Side so I was as happy as could be.  Secondly the band just seemed looser, almost like seeing them in a club instead of a festival.  I think some of you that have seen them many times know what I mean.   I loved the fact that they changed it up for the 2 shows, that was really cool.  So in 2 days we got to hear a lot of songs.  Each day before the festival started it was pouring rain, than as the time got closer for the festival it cleared, too cool.

What a really neat little festival, Johnstown is a cool little place and the people there are sooooo nice.  Everyone we encountered were really friendly and happy that people would make the trip to come there.

Unfortunately our son was not as excited about it as I had hoped, in time we will get him to love music as much as we do!  He did enjoy the side things we did in the city, so it was all good.

As a side note besides J J on Friday the other highlight was Betty LaVette, she was great!!

And of course on Saturday, the other highlights were Tab Benoit coming out and playing during Ho Cake and than Art & Dennis playing on a couple of songs with the Greg Allman band, too cool.

And last but not least we got to hang out with Firefly, I really enjoyed her company, a very cool lady!!!  She gets to see them in Cleveland tonight, lucky girl.

Aw.. Colleen, I had some great fun with you as well , drinking beer and chattin. You def are a MusicLovinMom !!!!!

I thought this was a neat little event. My craziness over posters actually got me to meet the sponsors , I was hanging out with a group and one of the guys dad's was the Subaru sponsor .we were chattin Mofro and shit , he went out of his way to get me a damn poster, lol

Town folks were really friendly , from what they were saying they look forward to this event and were especially excited for 2 days of Mofro. We danced and went to some local after hour bars and breakfast joint .
There was a lotta chairs in front of stage but enough frontstage space . For sat night it was full, prob with people waiting out for Gregg allman but they enjoyed Mofro too.

It was def worth it to travel to johnstown for flood city fest.

Damn! Sounds like a great time was had by all. Thanks for painting a nice verbal picture for us mom. I can't believe Tab Benoit sat in on Ho Cake! And I'd have loved to see Art and Dennis with Allman. Sounds like a great festival. Hopefully they'll add it to their list of ones to come back to!

As for your yungun mom, as I faintly recall, at that age I was more interested in girls than I was in music. Actually I think I was more interested in girls than I was of life itself.

And firefly I'm very happy that you got your spaceship running in time to make these shows.

Saturday there were 3 tapers set up, one had been from Friday who pretty much said he didn't have time to share with anyone. Glad someone did!
