SoFlaDave was kindly enough to post this on the cruise thread. I got to thinking some people might miss it so it might be good to give it its own thread.

It's a raffle for a cabin for 2 on the cruise and the raffle proceeds go to the Snook Foundation and the St Johnsriverkeeper.

The raffle is $5 a ticket or 5 for $20. Even if you can't go maybe you'd consider sending some spare change to the causes? I dq'd me and my trophy wife. But I figure if I could go I'd surely spend $20 on tickets, so since it'd be money spent that would go to the causes anyway I might as well send them that much.

You got it Dave. If y'all can't go the please consider sending even a couple of bucks to the organizations who so need the money to fight recently passed laws that have eased growth restrictions and allowed for even more sprawl that continues to deteriorate our precious resources.

...not to mention the enourmous fish kills that we suffered in the winter of 2010. The freezes hit a major wallop to much of S. Florida's ecosystem cause it normally does not freeze down there like it did.

My husband said he tried to buy me some raffle tickets.  It was advertised that you could buy 5 tickets for $15, but when he went to buy them, it was still asking for $20 at checkout.

I'm pretty sure the deal was 5 for $20 (saving $5)
When you choose your item for purchase it does say 1+$15 (or something like that).  I just took that to mean $15 plus one $5 ticket.  I figured they had to set it up like that because the computer wouldn't give the five dollar discount the other way (purchasing the $5 tickets individually).  Does that make any sense?  I think I've confused myself!!

It's 5 for $20. That's what it's been all along. The purchase page is kinda funky tho like BH was saying. But it comes out in your shopping cart as $20 for 5.
