Currently listening a lot to The Nouveaux Honkies, a South Florida band from Port Salerno.    I've seen them quite a few times over the last 4-5 years and most recently just last week at The Bamboo Room.

Check them out

RFR and I just love the Amos Lee CD!!! I like Lucindas Blessed, but it tends to be a bit too mellow for me.  I am a HUGE Lucinda fan, but I tend to like when she rocks it a little more, I have to say though buttercup is a GREAT song.  My favorite Lucinda CD is still Car Wheels, I think I like every song on it!!  I am really enjoying the Mumford & sons CD.  We miss them by a day at jazzfest : (.

Yea you definitely know when Lucinda is pissed off!  Have you ever seen her live, we have a number of times and enjoyed it everytime.  She can get pretty political, which I don't care about, but some people get pissed by it, she don't care though.  One time we saw her at the HOB in NOLA (which personally I hate the HOB, it's a big ripoff), but anyway before she came on they were playing nothing but Van Morrison and it was so cool everyone in the place was signing along to every song, so much fun and her show was great!!!

Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights are pretty excellent, saw them open for Mofro at the HOB back in october and have been hooked ever since, right now however, I'm soaking up this fella I just heard of, Seasick Steve, an American blues guitarist who lives in norway, I wanted to see him in concert but decided that I dont want to travel to Norway to see him. Ill just enjoy the albums for now!

Just saw (The Dead Kenny G's) for the 1st time last night and was blown away by some incredible musicianship.

Ran into a number of people who attended the JJ shows at The Bamboo Room (including Tdock)

Daryl Hance. His voice reminds me a bit of Pat DiNizo's and Mark Sandman's. Good stuff!

I've been digging into some Mumford & Sons "Sign No More".  Wow.  It's an intense recording of some high paced punk bluegrass.  I like it.  Hope to see them in Atlanta this weekend, though tickets went faster than poop through a goose.
