Gregg and I were talking not too long ago about awl the albums he has and would like to listen to again.  I want to buy a turntable for him and have not a clue what to look for.  He does not have the one he had years ago.  I am not sure if I should buy one that converts to CD or not.  I did a bit of research and the prices vary anywhere from $50 to $3,000+.  I would prefer to hang in the $200 or less ball park.  Just wondered in any of you folks in Mofro-ville have purchased one in the last couple of years you were happy with.  Thnaks!

Couple of questions - would the turntable be connected to an existing receiver system ?     How valuable are the records in your collection ?

answer two ~ as for value, not too sure, they are records from the 70's to the 80's ish
