Hey, I know this has been mentioned before, but not lately, so I wanted to remind everyone.  The Internet Archive (http://www.archive.org) has, among other items, over 95,000 live concerts recorded by fans.  364 of these are JJ and the guys.  The downloads are free, legal, and approved by the bands.  The recording quality varies from just OK to plugged into the soundboard.

By the way, I saw them this weekend for the first time.  I'd only heard one song (Circles) on XM, so I didn't know what I was in for.  They exceeded my expectations by a factor of about 100.  My new favorite band.  I've been going to concerts for over 35 years, and cannot remember another one where a band I'd barely heard of totally knocked my socks off like this.  Sorry I'm late to the party, but I'm here now!

Better late than never, right?  I love hearing about "the first time" - such a difficult feeling to describe to others until they feel it for themselves.  Welcome!

Can relate totally to you hobbes58!  First time me and the hubby saw them, we got a table and before we knew it we were upfront and have never looked back.  We have seen many concerts over the years as well, and I can remember it like it was yesterday, when after our first show Gregg exclaimed "that was the best concert I have ever seen .... hands down!!"

Won't be long before you are planning your weekend get aways and vacations around their tour schedule.  Enjoy the ride!!

Hey welcome hobbes58. Thanks for bringing the Archive to people's attention again. Us "old timers" on here know about it but we're getting new folks--like yourself!--all the time who don't.

We've got tapers on the board, most notably skotdee who tapes the Skipper's shows, Freebird shows and others. Uhollis is the admin for the Mofro LMA, and you'll see a lot of threads here started by swkelley--he's uploaded many a show to the archive for all our listening pleasure! Say hey and buy 'em a drink if you ever run into them!

It's so cool to hear from someone who just saw the band live for the first time. There's nothing like it! JJ's songs are great any way you slice it but to see them performed live is an experience like no other. There are 7 extremely talented guys on that stage.

Yeah boy is Sunshine right. My trophy wife and I hold our vacation time for Mofro shows. We don't put in for time off til we know when/where they're playing!

If you've been going to concerts for 35 years then you're old. Like me.

They have that effect on people. I guess everyone on here feels that way. Welcome to the Front porch!
