Friday the 18th was our first snow of 2013!
It was incredible and beautiful, and I hated to leave.
But Gregg and I were headed to Florida for a long weekend to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary,
so it was worth it. Here are a few shot I took before we headed out to Greensville to catch a plane.
We had a wonderful time in Florida!
It was simply amazing to be "off the grid" mentally for four days.
No chores, no work, no kids, no responsibilities.
We played poker, hung out by the pool, make thee best fish tacos from Mahi Mahi,
stayed up late, did some hiking, and had a GREAT time
with some old friends and my brother Joey!!
Gregg even suggested we revisit Honeymoon Island were we exchanged vows 20 years earlier!
we spotted an armadillo foraging for vittles on Honeymoon Island
just waiting for the grill to heat up .....
we grilled them and then topped with bacon and fresh garlic butter!
these clams were so fresh and at $14.99 for 100, made it that much sweeter!
and look ..... the clam is a smiling!! and were they tender .......
beyooond moist mahi mahi
My brother, one of my bestest friends evah!!
we found the place we exchanged vows at sunrise.
We had 20 or so of our closest friends and family there with us that day.
I find it hard to believe that was in 1993.
I would say "I Do" again in a heartbeat!
I like how the armadillo is out of focus and the twig & leafs are in focus,
kinda looks 3-D ish nd of course,
I love shadows in my photography!!
That was an incredible little seafood shop!!! I LOVE his clock!
oh how succulent these fillets turned out ..........
I call it "Moon rising over an Osprey Nest"
an Osprey spreading its wings .......
Sandhill Cranes - an endangered species
Scot, Gregg & Doug whooping it up! I laughed so incredibly much this weekend,
a few times my cheeks got cramps in them from laughing so hard while tears
seeped out of my eyes ......... felt great!!
................ scraps of left over Mahi Mahi ...........
I'm so glad we had this time together ...
Just to have a laugh or sing a song ......
Seems we just get started and before you know it ..........
Comes the time we have to say, "So long."
Peace ~ Love ~ M*O*F*R*O
