You guys/gals are killing me with your video shots [thumb] - how do you get so damn close....on the stage it appears?!?  And, not to mention, pics with JJ and the band before/after??  There's only been one show out of many where I've been able to get to speak and take pics with them.

By the way, while JJ/mofro show blew my mind once again with their show, I was not at all impressed with the venue.  Although a good sign that more and more folks are digging their talent, it was way too packed and a bit hostile - not the easy going, laid back crowd that I'm used to at their shows.  Couldn't even stay upfront b/c of people pushing.  I'm all for getting into the soul of the show (dancing, etc.) but damn, I draw the line at rudeness and attitudes (not to mention outside after the show).  Perhaps it was just where I was first standing (front and center)....or maybe they could tell I was not Floridian [frown]

Anyway, great to see a few of the mofro clan again and to meet new ones!!!  I'll try and post the GW performance and any others I might have gotten in full.

I snuck in a really, really long coat hanger then wrapped it around the camera and managed to get the camera over on the side of the stage. It was a little shaky at first but then settled down. Fabulous Ho Cake was it not?!

Don't even get me started on the crowds. I think Jannus is a great venue though. Invariably I think that there's going to be some people who lose all sense of their manners when they get all drunked up at a concert, not matter where it is. I hear you on the pushing too, especially front and center. It varies from venue to venue though. My trophy wife said Revolution the next night had seemed to have less.

Fabulous show. My favorite moment was during Georgia Warhorse when Trube was playing his lap steel off of one of the cymbals and knocked it over.

All the guys were killing it but, to me, Trube had it really going on. And I didn't clarify before but I like Jannus. I'd like to see them going back to a 3 night Skipper's run but I don't think it makes business sense for them anymore. But I like Jannus LOTS more than Ritz Ybor and it's outside which is nice.

I was in a few different spots and the acoustics were good everywhere.

Not sure where to post this but I got a chance to hang with JJ after the St. Pete show and he mentioned he is talking with Tommy Lee Cook, owner of the "World Famous Buckingham Blues Bar" and "The Hut Restaurant, at the Peace Tropical Gardens" about coming back to Buckingham (Ft. Myers area) for a small show. He didn't mention dates but it's definitely something we should all keep a look out for. The last show in Buckingham was at the Blues Bar and this one would be at The Hut restaurant. http://hutrestaurant.com/ It's a small intimate venue and the show at the blues bar was unforgettable and included a beer drinking donkey! I'm going to contact Tommy and see if I can get more details. I'll let you know what I find out!

I'm with Clay on the St. Pete, Jannus Landing Venue too...one of my favorite spots for shows!! Way better than Ybor's Ritz! Hope to see ya'll again soon!

Tentative: The Hut in Buckingham, March 28, a Friday night. Solo show similar to Bamboo Room style performance. Praying this happens!!
