This is the time of year that we put up our plethora of harvests from our garden.
We have a few varieties of basil this year: Opal Basil, Sweet Basil, Thai Basil,
Lemon Basil and our newest edition, Cinnamon Basil.
To fully utilize and enjoy year round, I make umpteen batches of pesto.
Yesterday I made Cinnamon Basil, Pistachio, and Asiago Pesto
and I decided to try a new pesto and also made Arugula Smoked Almond Parmesan Pesto!!

This is just the beginning, I still have to use all types of basil and have
pecans, smoked almond, and pistachios for just about any combination!!
