MOFRO & Hockey, can you think of any better way to spend the New Year?!?

Uh, yes actually.

Um... no freaking way!  The only thing better would be hockey followed by MOFRO... (in Minnespolis, not Detroit, if I may be selfish now that we got Zach Parise & Ryan Suter, we might just have a decent team) same day, across the street from each other. (It'd be hard for the boys to play outdoors in that weather... )

Course... He'd have a nice place to smuggle in all our weapons and party treats...

And slick. I'm pissed we didn't get at least one of those aquisitions this off season. I really thought Suter might could show up here. The Wings will be a non factor even more so the next couple years.

I was thinking Clay would look more along the lines of this, but slighlty taller..

(And don't get me started about Parise & Suter, I was really hoping they would end up in Orange & Black sweaters!)

Thanks for fixing my post DT. Ever since I've joined the Witness Protection Program and have been hiding out here in the forums, I've been scatter brained!

Ooo! A post from skotdee always brightens my day!

If'ins anyone is looking for a "cheap" hotel for the New Years Eve show, hotwire.com has the 3.5-star Sheraton for $85.  Just search "Clayton, MO" and it'll pop up as Forest Park - Clayton.  Place looks nice and it's not far from the venue (like 2-3 miles).

Update: looks like this is gone from Hotwire.com now.  Hope some others from here got in on it.

]]I expect to see you before the Jam Cruise. The first would be nice. Stay up all night and go to the Gator Bowl. Then rock out that night at wherever. Do an attn: mofrofans private-ish show here in Jax. Sometimes I hear about JJ and Scone playing at the tail end of an open mic night. I have been to almost every mofro show here in town or at the Suwannee since forever. Mofro used to be a two to five dollars cover charge. It has become our New Year's tradition. I am sad to see it end.

Yeah it's disappointing for sure. We've made all the Jax shows since 06. We're going to go to Atlanta for the show there, maybe Lex too. I'm still holding out hope they'll add a Jax show. Obviously it won't be on NYE but maybe like last year just before. Maybe they're still trying to negotiate a deal or date or something. I doubt it but it's worth hoping for.

Yes, ironic that I also made all the shows since '05 except for last year, when I moved to the Caribbean and they played my hometown...Now that I'm in ATL again, they're heading up north, ugh!  Oh, well, we'll all figure something out
