Very cool.  I'd seen JJG&M listed on the SXSW website, but didn't realize it was a tribute to Levon.
Bad Habit, don't you have a recording of JJG&M doing The Night They Drove Ol' Dixie Down?

btw, according to the SXSW website, JJG&M are also scheduled to play the previous night at the Holy Mountain backyard venue, with Dumpstaphunk, Soul Rebels and others.

Nice set at the Levon Tribute at Auditorium Shores (Zilker Park, near the Stevie Ray statue).

I can't provide the blow by blow, as I was bit hazy by 4:30 in the afternoon (2 3AM evenings out of 3 up to that point, will fog a mind), but the guys put on a killer 1 hour set, new tunes sprinkled throughout sounded great, an ass-kicking Ho Cake that blew the crowd away, and The Weight, termed by JJ as "Aretha Franklin" style.

JJ sang Use Me with Robert Randolph, and did Ophelia with the Midnight Ramble Band as part of the guest filled, headline closing set by Amy Helm and band.

Wish I could provide more details but a 4 and a half day bender at SXSW will do that to you.  The new album and tour should be outstanding.
