Looks like ya'll on Jam Cruise will get the treat of seeing JJ play in the Piano Room.  Unplugged.

The Piano Sets in the Atrium are an intimate chance to witness some great pianists in an unplugged setting. The featured performers this year include:

Yeah, I wish I could make it for Jam Cruise, but there is potentially something happening on Jan. 7th that I cannot miss and that would be the first day out at sea.  I may be in Miami that day anyways, but just not able to set sail.  Next time...

Thanks Dave, and yes, there is still a ways to go.  Your Golden Flashes are looking really good this year as well!  Guess it could be a KSU type of year?

Damn it! I didn't win the draw for a free cabin so I won't be able to join you all .!!  It looks like it will be an amazing trip, which I'm sure you will all enjoy massively!  I will expect plenty of postings on a regular basis to keep us poor folks at home up to speed on events (Craven Moore - I'm sure we can all depend on you!)

Seriously - have a ball Y'all

ICBC, haha, may have to wait until we return to shore.  I'm so old school, I don't have a laptop, and rely on hotel business centers for computer access.  Haven't been on a boat before, so I don't even know if they have wifi access.  Bad Habit and MF1 would know a lot more about that stuff than me.

Most cruise ships these days have internet "cafes" set up, but they are the slowest computers/access I've ever used.  You'd probably be better off putting a message in a bottle and throwing it overboard.  It'd get to shore sooner than your email.

What Indy said, they do have wi-fi access on board, but it is extremely slow and extremely expensive.  Same with your cell phones.  You obviously won't get a signal out at sea, so they have access to it on the boat through their own service.  You get charged for roaming and whatever they charge you to use the service.

You won't be able to post updates or info while you are on the trip and I for one would recommend not even trying.  Not for the reason of cost or wasting time with a slow connection, but for your own enjoyment.  There is going to be so much going on all at once, that the last thing you should worry about is posting a review or update of the shows/events.  You'll have plenty of time afterwards to do so when you are home from the trip and itching to go back on that boat.  The only thing I would worry about is taking a camera if you like to take pictures/videos, your ID/Passport, clothes on your back, and the ability to let your mind wander free from life, stress, work, and your problems the moment you step foot on that boat.  Because for the time you spend on that boat you will be free to live life as it should be lived, pure bliss with alot of great music and friends to share it with.
