Springsteen has a message board called the Backstreets BTX. I've been a boss fan for like 35 years and digure that some tramps over there would like JJ.

Today a guy posted:

(Glad that he is buying JJ's music)

Going to see them this Thurs in Milwaukee. I am a casual fan who has heard a few of their songs on local radio. Would love to be a little more familiar before I see them. Which album should I buy? I'm on iTunes right now-ready to buy something!!

bw24, I am likewise a longtime Boss/E St fan.  In fact, I've described Mofro to unfamiliars as an E St Band 2K with a thick Fla accent.  Many, many similarities in the music and performances.  One of my few regrets in life (so far) was not taking advantage of opportunities to Springsteen/E St in small venues when their greatness was incubating.  Not making that same mistake with JJG&M, although I was somewhat late to climb aboard.  By the end of the 2012 Mofro schedule, I'll likely surpass the 34 or so E St shows I've seen, although I've been on Backstreets nearly daily for word of fall US dates.  Had looked into hopping the pond for the summer Scandinavian dates, but will trail Mofro around Germany in March instead.

Interesting since I have often said that I am glad I get to see JJ in all thee small halls in his earlier years that I was not able to do for Bruce cuz of my age.

However, in the past 15 years, I have got to see Bruce in very small halls (150-500 people) and small theaters (2,000 peeps or less) and was blown away--even as Bruce in old enough for s S.S. check.

There is a lot of similarity b/t the bands  and Bruce tramps are seeing it now over on his board.

Yeah, Bruce is so old, his SSN only has 3 digits.  Will kick myself forever for choosing a game of pickup hoops over a $2 concert ticket by "some Springsteen guy", back in Sept '75, just weeks before the Newsweek & Time covers, which caused the fandom to hit the shit.
