Night to Remember
Hide and Seek
Brighter Days
Loving Every Minute
Hold on Tight
Ho Cake
Sun is Shining Down
Ol' Glory

A little short on songs, but the boys were on for an hour. Gorgeous weather, and an incredible venue. This was the first time I'd been there, and I hope that they have more shows. The big surprise... NO LOCHLOOSA... for the first time that I can remember. Had to be a time constraint thing after Ho Cake and Ol' Glory became long jam sessions.
I think the new drummer will fit in fine. He looks like he's having fun, at least.  As far as the second trumpet player... I dunno, seems a bit too business like, but being so new, he could just need some time to get into the swing of things.
I do have to say that they sounded tight and didn't miss a beat, even messing with JJ a little during Ho Cake. I just wish there was more time for them to play a few more songs, but with an outdoor show in a suburban setting, not to mention 3 bands, you take what you can get. Definitely better than G-Love. Sound mix was just right for Mofro, G-love,all we could hear was bass, some harmonica and a little drum. Vocals and guitar were next to impossible to hear. Then Big Head Todd came on and the quality improved again, so it wasn't the equipment... all in all a great night. I just hope they add a Varsity Theater stop when they're swinging through this direction in the fall

Hey Slick!  Glad you enjoyed the new cast of characters.  I met Marcus and hung out with him a bit before the Black Mountain show last month.  Super nice guy.  searching out my next show..............
