Love the little surprises that life throws your way.  Since going through all these boxes from storage, not only have I found lots of Mofro shows (and MANY other artists) that I haven't listened to in quite some time, but while going through a box today, I find not only the Alma Zuma cd, but an unopened copy (still sealed) of Faith Nation's, "Subtle Violence" cassette.

Sweet!  I have the Subtle Violence CD, but have not heard or have the Alma Zuma one.  I can't remember if it was you stan that talked to JJ or Uhollis, maybe someone else, that asked JJ about distributing either of these albums?  From what I recall, JJ said it was ok to do so, just as long as no one profited from doing so?  If that's the case, any chance we can find a way to make those recordings available to those who want them?

Since it seems to be ok with JJ, I'd be willing to burn a couple copies and pass along to others that will do the same.

And DT, if you send me a copy of the Faith Nation show on cd, I'll do the same for you with the Alma Zuma cd.

Sounds good Stan, I'll private message you and we can go from there.

I got to thinking that there may be some people who don't know who we're talking bout. Alma Zuma and Faith Nation were JJ's bands before Mofro.

Wow grew up In Jax and saw Alma Zuma a time or two. Had NO idea that it was one of JJs former bands. Learn something new everyday. Any idea where to get a copy of either of these?

Yessir, if you'll pop up above and click on swkelly's name and go to his member profile you can send him a private message. He can burn you one but you'll have to buy him a beer (or more.)

I have both and will do the same for anyone interested.

That way I can alleviate some of the burden of everyone going to Stan for these.

I'd be interested in both of those cd's too! I've heard of both via this site but have never "heard" either one. Would be a good Mofro history lesson!
