There were some others going with Shelley and Roy, but they may be in question....we'll see.

And then there is Brian Sykes, from here...Seattle, and his wagon train full of friends...he told me about 20 strong. So, we're hoping to meet up with him too. And I would imagine that Romy B. from the Woodland Park Zoo, is a huge fan....I'll bet she's there. Hell, a guy from work and his wife want to go but family is filling up his house this weekend.

i got a wicked sickness

just made a trip to the Dr. and apparently have a wicked case of
LackofLive Mofroitis It's not lookin too good folks...

On the bright side.... i got me 2 prescriptions to a drug named Badassedness or better know on the streets as Georgia Warhorse. Thank the heavens it is easing this ailment, probably cause i can use the drug daily as many times as needed. There are zero overdose worries and the only side effect is radiating awesome/groovy vibes to all those nearby.

Due to scheduling/geographical/monetary limitations, the actual "treatments" aren't till October 27 & 29th.

Pray for me people cause i'm beyond tempted to refinance the homestead and get as many "treatments" as possible for at least a whole year.... maybe 2!!!!

SURE ENUF! If me and the trophy wife could we'd make this a road trip. I heard from Art that they're throwing in down when they're in Memphis next month!!

The Greyhounds are gonna play on Oct 12 (the day before the band plays the Hi-Tone) at Central BBQ from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. This is Art's neighborhood joint so y'all know he's sitting in with 'em.

Then the next night after the band's gig, the Greyhounds will be--as Art describes--"at a funky dive called The Buccaneer, Memphis premier pirate dive!'" Here's what else Art had to say..."The Bucc gig will be from like 1-3am. I'll be jamming with them and there may be a surprise guest or 3 and possibly a former MOFRO member.

Taping/recording help needed for upcoming show

Hey King Clay,

After I send this post, I am going to dig for your phone number, and if upon finding it maybe give you a call. It would be to see if you have any pull, influence, insight or ability to check in with some of the "in the know " crowd with the band, regarding any chance to tape them for the two shows here in Seattle next Satuarday. The band's old site, used to give the ok to photo and audio tape...provided one did not interfere with the band or board. The new site...well it's changed a bit, and even though I could take a chance...I jsut don't want to be walked out of a door....especially infront of friends, the wife, and not getting to enjoy my Makers to its fullest. I just sent an email to the "Showbox", Friday I spoke with the manager at Silver Platters, yesterday I left a message with the band's manager at MH, and I was thinking of trying to contact Chris or Collin sometime in the next day or so.

I am not the expert that Uhollis and Skotdee are, but possibly with the help of a friend and maybe a ticket bribe...offer to the show, and with a little luck I could pull this off. At the very least I could rent a small bidirectional mic, connected to my buddies Tascam... and pick up something to be shared, but I don't want to one piss anybody off, and two, make a mess out of it too.

If you get this, and want to pass it along that would be cool too. I'll send you my cell number again, if you need to call or if one of the folks "in the know" have any questions or input...feel free to pass it along.

Thanks a ton, if nothing else...the micro brew growlers are half priced on Monday's, and as the owner told me this past Fridaynight(we took the moovie setup to his place for his daughters b-day)..Buy them on Monday, don't open them, and they'll be good till Satuarday for sure. So, maybe we'll load up the band again.

So those of us that weren't able to go to jambando, but got wind of it on that supa delicious radio show- hosted by Johndude's lady Jessica- Morning Marinade. I found a few good vids on youtube of the Janis Jolpin tribute Kaleigh Baker did. AMAZING YALL!!! she is oh so spicy, I would really love catching a show or two or three in the future.

So I did a Google from my phone for Mofro and one of the search criteria that autofilled was for Mofro game. Not sure if this was a reference to the band, but thought I'd bring it up here. You can play it online (link below), though I lost interest rather quickly. Would be cool if someone made a Mofro-based on JJ game! Maybe food related where you have to collect ho cakes and such while avoiding turning your ass black and blue.

Who says kids don't listen?

So, my son (who thinks ANY music I listen to is boring) gets back from a visit to Disneyland and says "hey dad, guess what". I am thinking he's going to talk about a ride he went on and he says "that JJ and Mofro guy you like was coming to the Disney House of Blues in a couple of weeks". Couldn't believe he actually remembered the name AND remembered to tell me about it!

Might make a Mofro-ite out of him yet.
