Brighter Days Review from Pop Matters

I don't know if this has been posted yet or not, but it's a review of the Brighter Days live CD/DVD. He has the date of Blackwater wrong and gives a back and forth review. For the most part, he gives it a thumbs up, with 8 out of 10 stars, but has a few criticisms of it. Check it out for yourself.

Also, from the same site, there is a great review of the House of Blues Chicago show from October of 2010. I, along with alot of others on here, were at that show and can confirm what the reviewer is saying. He definitely gets it and you can tell he was impressed by his words and praise of that show. Sunday turned out to be beyond beautiful!!

It was pose to rain and be in the mid 50's

(pretty warm for us),

but it ended up being sunny and near 70!!!

In FEBRUARY, crazy good!!!

Sorry guys, I have just started going back to school to get my degree after being in the Marines figured it would be a good thing to do. I am going to see JJ Grey solo in Birmingham this Friday Feb.10 ad it is probably going to be the last time I see him til he is back on this side of the pond. Hope everyone is well and pray for me with school, this shit is absurd

Okay Karla.. I always see you posting about JJ Grey & MOFRO.... so I thought I would check out some of their music!
I just listened to "Sweetest Thing".. "Beautiful World"!
Do you have a few suggestions to listen to. So far, I Like It!!

Medley of Lochloosa into Florida: Question

So I just joined this awesome new jam band as their lead singer and I'm debating which Mofro song I want to cover. I'm between Lochloosa (obv) and then my two favorites- Florida or Whitehouse. But I found this one youtube and it might take the case. Does anyone know anything more about this Lochloosa into Florida medley. Got some cool new lyrics in it and stuff. Might kill two birds with one stone.

Daryl just put out a new schedule:

Daryl Hance will embark on a Solo West Coast/Midwestern Solo Tour Starting February 28 in Nashville, TN through March 24th Indianapolis. Hitting Nashville, Kansas City, Denver, Crested Butte, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Crystal Bay, Cottage Grove, Medford, Portland, Seattle, Bellingham, Hailey, Moscow, Billings, Minneapolis, Iowa City, and Indianapolis!!! More dates to come!!!

For this tour Daryl will be performing solo in a one-man band style that includes an amplifier, kick drum, snare, hi-hat, tamborine, and a looper! Daryl will be doing super stripped down versions of songs from the Hallowed Ground album, plus new material, a few covers, and some improv jams!!! Expect the unexpected!!!

Someone from WBZC-FM Philadelphia/South Jersey--Endless Boundaries Jam Radio sent me this yesterday. It's a phone interview with JJ. The sound quality ain't all that great but it's still listenable. Good interview.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, JJ Grey & Mofro must cancel their dates with Jack Bruce and his Big Blues Band scheduled to start on March 20, 2012 in Cambridge, UK and finish in Newcastle, UK on March 31, 2012.
